Developing the Total Brain

Your brain’s CEO, the prefrontal cortex, is responsible for moral reasoning, good judgement and planning. Stress, fatigue and drug and alcohol abuse impair the way the brain works – the prefrontal cortex area is switched off The fight or flight response to stress kicks in and we become more emotional, less rational, more reactive and impulsive.

TM creates the opposite effect – it enlivens the prefrontal cortex. The front and back areas of the brain become more connected, producing coherent alpha waves across the whole brain.
